How to Find Telegram Channel ID Using @userinfobot (Interactive Menu Guide)

A complete step-by-step visual tutorial on finding any Telegram Channel Chat ID (starting with -100) using @userinfobot's interactive channel selector menu.

🔍 How to Find Telegram Channel ID Using @userinfobot (Interactive Menu Guide)

When configuring your Source (Intake) and Destination (Broadcast) channels in EZAffiliate, private channels require their exact numerical Chat ID (which always begins with the negative prefix -100, e.g. -1004422760419).

Telegram’s verified @userinfobot provides a built-in interactive menu to pick and extract the Chat ID of any channel you own or manage in just 2 clicks.

🧭 Why Do Channels Need -100 Chat IDs?

Every chat, group, and channel on Telegram has an internal unique 64-bit integer ID:

  • Personal user accounts: Positive numbers (e.g. 758505898).
  • Supergroups and Channels: Always start with the negative prefix -100 (e.g. -1004422760419).

Telegram’s Bot API requires this exact -100 prefix to route messages correctly to private channels.

⚡ The 3-Step Interactive Workflow

1
Open @userinfobot & Send /start

Search for @userinfobot in Telegram and press Start. It presents interactive menu buttons (User, Group, Channel, My Channel).

2
Click "📢 My Channel" or "📢 Channel"

A native Telegram dialog opens with a search bar listing all your channels (e.g. Choose a Channel).

3
Select Your Channel & Copy the "-100..." ID

Tap your channel from the list. The bot instantly prints its exact ID (e.g. -1004422760419). Copy it into EZAffiliate!

📋 Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open @userinfobot on Telegram

  1. Open Telegram on your Desktop, Phone, or Telegram Web.
  2. Search for the verified bot: @userinfobot (User Info • Get ID • idbot).
  3. Send /start or tap Start.
  4. The bot will reply with your personal account details, followed by an interactive keyboard menu:
    • 👤 User | ⭐ Premium | 🤖 Bot

    • 👥 My Group | 📢 My Channel | 💬 My Forum

Step 2: Click the ”📢 My Channel” (or ”📢 Channel”) Button

  1. Click the 📢 My Channel button (or 📢 Channel).
  2. A native Telegram popup window titled “Choose a Channel” appears on your screen with a search bar.
  3. Telegram will display all the public and private channels you own or manage.

Step 3: Select Your Channel from the List

  1. Scroll or search for your channel name (for example, your private Intake Channel or Deals Channel).
  2. Tap or click on your channel.
  3. @userinfobot will immediately send a message containing the channel’s metadata:
    Title: Your Channel Name
    Id: -1004422760419
    Type: channel

  4. Copy the entire number under Id:, including the minus sign and -100 (e.g. -1004422760419).

[!WARNING] Do NOT copy your personal user ID (e.g. 758505898) shown when you typed /start. Always copy the channel’s ID starting with -100 generated after selecting your channel!

Step 4: Paste into EZAffiliate Portal

Now that you have your -100... Chat ID:

  1. Open your EZAffiliate Portal.
  2. In the sidebar, navigate to Forward Channels (Channel Routing Engine).
  3. Paste the ID:
    • Under Section 2: Source / Inbound Channels (if using for deal sourcing/intake).
    • Under Section 1: Destination / Broadcast Channels (if using for deal publishing).
  4. Click Verify Admin to dispatch a 1-click test ping and confirm permissions!

You can also get the ID directly from message links without using any bot:

  1. Open your private channel in Telegram.
  2. Right-click or long-press any message and select Copy Link.
  3. You will get a link formatted like: https://t.me/c/4422760419/45
  4. Notice the number right after /c/: 4422760419.
  5. Add -100 before that number: ➡️ -1004422760419

Both methods yield the exact same Chat ID.
